Device adapter pair IDs – Models 981, 98E (three-phase power)

Device adapter pair IDs identify either the two device adapter cards in an I/O enclosure, or a pair of storage enclosure RAID controllers.

For FC-AL storage enclosures:
A device adapter pair ID identifies the two device adapter cards in the I/O enclosures. The device adapter cards provide redundancy for the FC-AL loops that connect to one or more storage enclosure pairs.
For high-performance flash enclosures:
A device adapter pair ID identifies the pair of storage enclosure RAID controllers and their associated interfaces to the I/O enclosures.
For high-performance flash enclosures Gen2 (HPFE Gen2)
A device adapter pair ID identifies the microbay pair (also known as flash RAID adapters) and their associated interfaces to the I/O enclosures.
Note: For flash configurations with HPFE Gen2, see Figure 3.
