Checking for required microcode
Procedure

Determine if there is a
required
or recommended
level of microcode available
for your storage facility or management console. For IBM® personnel, consult your next level of support for this storage model. For non-IBM personnel, follow the
established process to determine the required code level.
Notes:
- Required means that the storage facility
must not be transferred over to the customer without the indicated code level installed.
- Recommended means the IBM service representative can either:
- Give the storage facility to the customer when the
installation is complete.
- Negotiate with the customer for a more convenient time to update the microcode.
