MAP20E0 Rack temperature alert
A rack over-temperature alert has been reported.
MAP20E0 Section-1
Before you begin
CAUTION:
If there are rows of racks
next to each other, ensure each row is installed in the proper orientation
to create a hot aisle and a cold aisle. A cold aisle means the racks
on both sides of the aisle intake cool air from the aisle. A hot aisle
means the racks on both sides of the aisle discharge warm air into
the aisle. If the orientation is not correct, a rack would intake
air from the warm exhaust of the racks on the other side of the aisle.
This could cause overheating even though the room temperature is within
specifications.
For further explanation, see the IBM DS8000 Introduction and Planning Guide for your model; the Introduction and Planning Guide is included on the Service Documents CD-ROM or the Customer Documents CD-ROM in the DS8000® ship group.
