MAP2240 Rack battery module set born-on date mismatch
One or more of the battery module sets in the rack has a born-on date that is more than two years older than the battery module with the newest born-on date.
About this task
- A rack will have 0, 2, or 3 battery module enclosures present based on installed rack features and position in the storage facility.
- A battery module enclosure will have one battery module set.
- A battery module set contains three battery modules. All three battery modules are always replaced as a set.
- The only reason the battery was split into three battery modules was to keep the individual weight below the limit for a single service representative to handle.
- The three battery modules in the battery module enclosure are treated as one battery by the storage facility. The only reason the battery was split into three parts was to keep the individual weight below the limit for a single service representative to handle.
- The born-on date of each battery module set in the rack must not differ by more than two years. This ensures that their charge/discharge characteristics, which change over time, remain compatible.

Procedure
- Do you have a serviceable event that
lists the location code of the specific battery module set to be replaced?
See the lower left of Figure 2 for the location codes (E10, E11, and E12).
- Yes, use the serviceable event FRU list to replace the battery module set.
- No, use the location code and go to MAP1230 Replace a FRU without using a serviceable event.
