This topic will support the replacement of two device adapters that have bad flash memory.
About this task
Both device adapters in a DA pair were found to have a bad flash
memory module. The flash memory on the adapter is needed to create RAID-6
arrays. The serviceable event that
sent you here will contain two device adapters. Both of these adapters are
required to be replaced, one at a time.
- The first adapter will be replaced directly from the FRU list in the serviceable event.
- The second adapter will be replaced using the Exchange Parts menu option and the location code listed in the serviceable event FRU list.
