MAP4AA5 CDA preload suspended, partner HMC unavailable

The HMC could not replicate the bundle to its partner HMC during preload because it could not communicate with the partner.

MAP4AA5 Section-1

Procedure

  1. Is the partner HMC powered on?
    • Yes, go to step 2.
    • No, power on the partner HMC. Once the partner HMC is running, go to step 3.
  2. Go to MAP7000 Entry point For storage facility private network problems to verify network connectivity. When you have identified and fixed any communication issues, return here and continue to step 3.
  3. Once both HMCs are communicating, preload should automatically resume. Did preload automatically resume?
    • Yes, exit this MAP and continue with your CDA tasks.
    • No, go to step 4.
  4. Manually restart preload:
    1. From the navigation area, click Updates.
    2. In the upper Updates area, select the storage facility.
    3. From the bottom Tasks area, click Update Storage Facility Code.
    4. From the Update Storage Facility Code window, select the bundle and then click Preload Bundle.
  5. Was the preload successful?
    • Yes, exit this MAP and continue with your CDA tasks.
    • No, contact your next level of support.
