Before you begin

Note: Storage complex repair actions must always be managed from the management console. To replace any FRUs identified in this procedure, use Storage Facility Management > storage facility > Exchange Parts. If the FRUs are listed in this or another Serviceable Event, select them from there.

Procedure

  1. Replace the CEC enclosure service processor card.
  2. Perform a slow boot. See MAP4820 Performing a slow boot of a CEC enclosure.
  3. Does the problem persist?
    • No: This ends the procedure.
    • Yes: Continue with the next step.
  4. Replace the CEC enclosure system processor cards one at a time.
  5. Perform a slow boot. See MAP4820 Performing a slow boot of a CEC enclosure.
  6. Does the problem persist?
    • No: This ends the procedure.
    • Yes: Continue with the next step.
  7. Replace the CEC enclosure system processor backplane assembly.
  8. Perform a slow boot. See MAP4820 Performing a slow boot of a CEC enclosure.
