Before you begin
Note: Storage complex repair actions must always be managed from the
management console. To replace any FRUs identified in this procedure, use . If the FRUs are listed in
this or another Serviceable Event, select them from there.
About this task
The problem is in the controls for the card slot. The card location
may or may not have an installed card. If there is a card installed in that
location, it may be the source of the problem. In some cases, the user interface
view of the serviceable event will list more than one card position for the
location of this FRU. The problem may be with any one of the FRUs in those
locations. When there is a list of locations in the location code for this
FRU, the card locations will be separated by commas. A range of card positions
will show the starting card position, a colon, and the ending card position.
Procedure
- Replace in turn each PCI card listed in the Serviceable Event.
- If the problem persists replace the I/O enclosure backplane that
the PCI cards are plugged into.
