A unit was dropped from the SPCN configuration.

Procedure

  1. Is the reference code that you are working with 1xxx90F0?
    • No, exit this MAP and repair any related open serviceable events. If there are none, contact your next level of support.
    • Yes, a unit was dropped from the SPCN configuration.
      This can be caused by any of the following:
      • The enclosure has lost power.
      • The SPCN function in the enclosure has an error.
      • The SPCN cables have failed.
  2. See the FRU list in the serviceable event with SRC 1xxx90F0 in the error log. After locating the failing unit, ensure that the SPCN cables are seated correctly. Reseat the SPCN cables if necessary.
    Are the cables connected correctly?
    • Yes, continue with the next step.
    • No, reconnect the SPCN cables, or replace them if necessary.
  3. Are the ac line cords on the failing unit connected properly at both ends?
    • No, reconnect the ac line cords, or replace them if necessary. This ends the procedure.
    • Yes, continue with the next step.
  4. Is at least one of the failing unit power supplies functional? Both green LEDs on the functional power supply should be on and solid.
    • No, perform the following:
      1. Replace each power supply one at a time until the problem has been resolved.
      2. If the problem persists after replacing both power supplies, continue with the next step.
    • Yes, continue with the next step.
  5. Replace the SPCN node in the failing enclosures.
    The SPCN node in a:
    • CEC enclosure is the CEC enclosure service processor.
      For Model 961, the service processor is part of the CEC enclosure system backplane.
    • I/O enclosure is the I/O enclosure PCIe/SPCN card.

    If the FRU is not listed in the serviceable event FRU list, then use MAP1230 Replace a FRU without using a serviceable event.
