Explanation

The paging VIOS did not respond correctly to a LIC request.

Response

If the platform is HMC-managed:>
  1. If there are multiple VIOS servers running, determine which one is acting as the paging VIOS by looking at the shared memory pool properties.
  2. Validate that the paging VIOS is in 'Running' state via the HMC GUI or Command Line.
  3. Verify you can access the paging VIOS console, and interact with the paging VIOS operating system.
  4. If steps 2 or 3 are unsuccessful, look for other errors and perform any actions indicated to resolve those errors.
If the platform is not HMC-managed, or the above steps do not resolve the problem, contact your service provider.
