Unsafe conditions

When first assembled, each DS8000® rack has safety equipment that is installed to protect the operators and service representatives from injury. This inspection checklist verifies that all safety equipment and safety labels are installed on the DS8000 rack.

The following lists some safety conditions and hazards that can be present on the DS8000:

• A frame that is not grounded can cause a serious or lethal electrical shock.
• Missing safety covers or safety shields can be a hazard to the customer and maintenance personnel.
