Safety inspection

This safety inspection helps you verify the safe condition of a DS8000®. Do not service a DS8000 with unsafe conditions.

Perform a safety inspection when any of the following conditions apply:

When IBM® receives a request for a service agreement for a DS8000.
As part of an alteration-and-attachments review on a DS8000 that is on lease, under a service agreement, or on a per-call service.
On a relocated DS8000.
